Swine flu deaths have soared to 663 across the country

Swine flu deaths have soared to 663 across the country while number of people affected by it breached the 10,000 mark in 2015.Rajasthan,Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh are the worst-hit States with 183, 155 and 90 deaths reported from there respectively.
Although there is no reason to panic, it is always better to be safe and careful.Here are few basic information :
Symptoms : Cough,Fever,Sore throat,Stuffy or runny nose,Body aches,Headache,Chills,Fatigue,Vomiting,Diarrhea,Loss of appetite & Aching muscles and joints.The symptoms of Swine Flu is similar to regular flu which makes it tough to detect the disease. People with Swine Flu may be more likely to feel nauseous and throw up than people who have seasonal flu. But a lab test is the only way to know for sure.
How can you prevent or stay safe?
The best way to stay safe and keep the deadly disease at a distance is to get a flu shot or flu vaccine on a yearly basis.The injections cost around Rs 600-700 per dose. The doctors advise people to get a repeat vaccine dose every year.
Please take all precautions as below.
1. Please avoid crowded places as much as you can.
2. Travel in personal conveyance if possible. If that's not possible, avoid travelling during peak traffic.
3. Use a good mask to cover your respiratory outlets - the nose and the mouth. If that is not possible, use a handkerchief to cover the same.
4. Avoid handshakes and up-close conversations with people.
5. Carry and use hand sanitisers.
6. While using public washrooms and doors or while pressing lift buttons, use a tissue paper to make contact with the surface.
7. Keep your immune system strong - consume lots of healthy food and natural supplements such as cod-liver oil pills.
8. Avoid too much of physical exertion.
9. If you develop flu-like symptoms, visit a doctor immediately.
10. Cover your mouth during coughing and wash your hands frequently.
