Our late night post about “Haiders” of Kashmir hailing the slain terrorists as martyrs and attending their funeral in large numbers invited a lot of comments like:
“After all they were human too”
“Everyone deserves a funeral”
“Everyone deserves a funeral”
Guys, this very attitude of ours, this overflowing benevolence, this nauseatingly sweet humanitarian side has cost us the lives of so many soldiers and civilians. Let us stop being defensive and let us stop denying the obvious. You know they were not humans. They were a threat to the whole human race. And yes they DIDN’T deserve a funeral, let alone a grand one. They led an overall useless life and feeding their carcasses to dogs could have brought some meaning to their pointless lives.
Call us inhuman or insensitive but do not expect nice cute posts about a terrorist’s funeral.
