Sadashiv Amrapurkar breathed his last toda

Sadashiv Amrapurkar, one of the most versatile actors of Indian Cinema maker Shadiram Gharjode from “Coolie Number 1”, the unyielding Ranjit Rai from “Ishq” and the ruthless eunuch Maharani from “Sadak” will live in our memories for a very long time.
breathed his last today. We last saw him in a small but powerful role in “Bombay Talkies”. Sadashiv Ji was one of those rare actors who played a villain, a comedian and a character artist with equal élan. The don Rama Shetty from “Ardha Satya, the scheming Sardarilal from “Teri meharbaaniyaan”, the scatter-brained Inspector Pyare Mohan from “Aankhein”, The helpful Inspector Neelkanth from “Gupt”, The match
He was also a humanitarian and was associated with a number of social initiatives. Some “heroes” recently beat this “villain” up severely as the latter was trying to protest against water wastage in Mumbai. Quite a role reversal you see.
Sadashiv Amrapurkar leaves a big void in Indian Cinema. Rest in peace sir, you’ll be missed
